I recently purchased a Century R1A1 Fal. It has the dreaded unibrow feeding ramp. Have worked on polishing the ramp tonear mirror polish. have polished the sides of the feed rails. Weapon seems to feed ok. It is showing no signs of
being headspaced wrong. It seems to be timed ok as well. Also, I checked the gas valve and it doesn't seemed to be a two peice piston. Weapon might benefit
from new recoil springs just to play it safe. And I will half to test all magazines
that I have. This rifle would also benefit some polishing on the FCG I'm sure.

This weapon was built with an inch lower kit on an upper metric. If you heard
stories why people can't zero theese weapons this maybe the cause. I have heard that people raise the rear sight (inch) and lower the front (metric) to
sight theese rifles. Have heard that I could easily relace the front sight post
that is metric with an ich one. Is that possible?

Barrel is light on this weapon to after a twenty shots needs to cool down, gets
hotter than me Cetme or my AKM.

If the gas block is metric just swap the inch rear sight for a metric one.

You have this all backwards.
