Sign up over at the M-14 Firing Line. There are a few listed in the classifieds.

Do you want to collect M14 parts or build a rifle? If you want to build a rifle, it is usually cheaper to purchase a complete rifle, than to purchase parts, receiver and pay for assembly.

Thought I would try a build, but I would love to own one either way.
Thanks for the help.

Unlike an AR which are pretty much plug and play the M14 can present
some challenges relative to your requirements. It would help to define
what your expectations are, ie match vs defense vs plinking. I'd do a
bunch of research first as the bottom line on an entry level build with
mostly GI parts is getting close to $2k. The Springfield line while not my
favorite is the most economical and has the widest variety of offerings,
LRB is the other end of the scale and can damage a savings account but
bring a smile at the same time. You should be able to get a parts set,
generally these are assembled from NOS parts because the demills are
not available anymore, should run between $1000 to $1300.

I believe that is an M1 Garand parts kit, not an M14/M1A
