Did CZ change their safeties?

I used to have a .204 CZ 527 and the safety was opposite of american..pushed forward locked it up..now I bought a 243 CZ 550 and the safety is standard, pushed forward to fire..have the 550's always been like this or did CZ finally change do to complaints?

I think the CZ 550 is classified as a 550 American made for the US market that could be the difference.

Wife's new CZ 452 American .22 RF has the usual (for CZ) Forward ON-NO SHOOT/Rear OFF-SHOOT.

I just shot CZ an email today asking the question--hopefully by tommorow I will get an answer

CZ is pretty quick answering E-mails. Expect 1 or 2 days.

Yes, it's cold here in Phoenix too, only got up to 55 degrees and rainy all day.
I can't take this cold weather.
I have to move to a warm climate.

You sound like my brother, hes in southern cal--wears shorts year round--he complains to high heaven when it gets below 65--ofcourse so did I when I lived down there--I could go for some of that weather rights now..I've been driving on ice and compacted snow for a week and tomorrow we are expecting at least 1/2 a foot of the white stuff--thankfully I got a cord of wood delivered today--just in case the electricity goes off and my heater is useless--Im trying to sell the house up here and move to either Bullhead, Havasu or Pah-rump but the real estate just isnt movin'

Bad time to be selling a house, especially where you are and at this time of year. But then there are people who really like cold weather. You might even find a buyer on the Files.

Yes, in the newer CZs the safety is reversed from the older models, primarily due , I understand, to confirm to American preferences. Ron
