Geez, Sidney, you've really let yourself go since you took your last avatar picture

It reflects how I feel lately.

Too distorted and grainy. Not enough pixels I guess. If I try to send it to you in a larger file, do you think that would work better?

more pixels on this one

It's not distorted, even though it looks like it is. The original is long & thin, & avatars need to be square. What I did was trim off the ends to square up the image. I tried leaving it wide like the original, but its so tiny you can't see anything.

The graininess is from the original, it was lifted from a magazine page & the "dots" that make up the printed page are made worse in the resizing.

The other image will have similar problems.

Can you find an image that fits a bit better to the square shape & hasn't been "screened" for publishing?

Here's the new one, left full width.

Thanks.

I don't think I will be able to find the original picture.

Oh well, it sure would have made for a neat avitar.

Thanks for trying.

BTW, what program are you using to reduce it to the 50x50 pixel avitar size?

I'm using MS Digital Image Pro V 10.
It's almost as good as PhotoShop, better at some things, and a lot faster & easier to use.
