I saw these AR receivers on the Orion Arms web-site. They appear to be constructed of possibly two side-plates bolted to a center section.

Anyone have any info on these lowers?

Thanks,

Looks like an AR-15 Receiver "kit" that was manufactured by KT Ordnance. It was manufactured in four separate sections so that it wouldn't be considered a firearm until all the components were joined together. I think ATF shut down KT Ordnance in 2006, but you may want to do a follow-up web search for corroboration.

Here is the sticky from ARFcom about how to build one.

How to build the KT-15 (http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=4&t=210572)

There were also several threads about the kit. Some liked the idea, some didn't.

Personnaly, I like the idea of being able to build a lower with out major tools or help from the FEDs.

KT Ord is still around, but alas, their KT-15 receiver kit is no more.
