I've been carrying a S&W model 37, and I love it, but with its' reduced weight and small grips it's not the most comfortable .38 to shoot.

I'd kinda like to save the original 50 year old grips, and was wondering what kinda new grip options you guys would recommend. Biggest concern is to keep it small, but a shape that'd more comfortable to shoot would be nice too. I'm partial to wood, but would consider other materials.

I carry a lightweight J frame a lot, usually a Model 642. It came with Uncle Mike's boot grips. They work pretty well.

I also like the standard Magna grips from S&W with a Tyler "T-Grip" grip adapter added. It fills in the area right behind the trigger guard a bit, filling your hand better. It adds nothing to the bulk of the gun.

i like the um's hard rubber grips that came on my 637-2.
i like the laminate grips that came on my 342 better.
i dont carry the 342 becaue its too pretty to end up looking like my 637 after ten years of carry.

Thanks guys. I'm gonna see if I can handle some of the new S&W J-frames with the boot grip, and see how they feel to my hands.
