For about 45 bucks more you can get a US made one from PTR91. SO there's one more original part you can keep or add.

I have one. I took it out when I converted my rifle to 7.62x39. It is not all worn out. I shot tight groups with it. I just don't need it anymore. $80 and it's yours.

I wouldn't even know where to start on telling you how to build one. It would really depend on if it's built on a 91 receiver like mine or a 93 receiver like ghilliebears.
Ghilliebear sells them in 52, 32 and 32k models. Look at my 33 video, it has his contact info. Tell him HART1 sent you
