Saw a neat mauser in the local fun shop yesterday.
8.15 x46mm
the story was it was used as a shooting club rifle, especially made for them.
It was just about the smoothest Mauser action I've ever handled.Had a crest with a very small swastika, but was definitely no run of the mill K98.
Looked a lot like a mix between a Gewr 98 and a K98,just super refined.

It'd be a bugger to reload for!!

New one to me.

no need, just slightly more than passing curiosity. Thanks though.

It sounds like the gun American Rifleman did an article on a few months ago.

Usually those rifles run for quite a bit more then your normal mauser. It was considered a target rifle as mentioned, mostly used in bars and gatherings. Supposably a great little round for smaller game. Would be hard to reload here, not impossible, just hard to get components.
