Anyone know of a good gunsmith in the Atlanta/North Georgia area to repair a M14?

Here's a list of M14 'smithies. Shipping a rifle to a smith isn't such a big deal. They can ship right back to your doorstep so no transfer or anything like that to get it back.

Well, I'm about 15 minutes from him.

I'm not an expert on the M-14/M1A per se, but I do have considerable time in the last few years building and tuning competitive M1 rifles. Depending on what the problem is, I might be able to help. There are a lot of parts and tooling that are similar or interchangeable.

If it turn out that it needs a real M14 guy, I can probably find out who to take it to, as I'm hooked up with the Highpower crowd in GA.

BTW--this is an M1A, and not a true selective-fire M14, right?

Find out what the issue is, and get back to me, either in this thread or by PM, and we'll see what we can do to get him back in action.
