I visited one of my brothers today and shortly after arriving, he asked me if I wanted a handgun that he no longer wanted in the house. Naturally I said yes.
The critter turned out to be a very nice condition Beretta Model 70S .22 LR. All steel, nice blue black finish, and black plastic grips. This thing has a 3.5 inch barrel and a fully adjustable rear sight. This goes along with the thumb rest left grip which I assume were added to give the pistol the necessary points to be imported under the GCA 68.
I have no idea what this little Italian made pistol is worth, but it is a nice looking gun. It looks like it was based on the old Modello 1934 9mm Corto Italian service pistol. Only one magazine with the pistol. It is an eight rounder with the steel finger spur base plate. I wonder if spare mags are available for it?
It wasn't my birthday or anything special. But a free Beretta makes a nice gift any day of the week.
