Postman brought me new toys to play with. Now if the shotgun these go to would hurry up and get here.

Wonder how long it will take some to figure out what I am up to.:uhoh:

You have a large population of "feral snakes" and you are building a shotgun specifically to deal with the issue.....lucky for you that you only have those somewhat gay/effeminate US snakes and none of the somewhat more manly Aussie ones....nothing less than a 20ga will suffice out here......:uhoh: :uhoh:

If you plan on running slugs be sure to get the steel cased ones
The plastic cases dimple and don't feed properly
At least thats what happens to my .410

Fun to shoot though

Uh oh - Jerry's planning a shotgun course-of-fire for FALFest '09

Ain't planning a thing. The Gman on the other hand has other ideas. Even though I have been doing drills with the 870 I am still slow.

If things go according to plan (they never do) I will have the strangest lineup for the 3-gun. :uhoh:

Oh no. Fast reloading, light recoiling and fast firing. I think your weaponry outclasses mine when it comes to speedshooting targets!

I just picked up a slightly used .410 Saiga last night for $200 (to join it's big brother S-12)

the 10 round mags will be on order soon. But, I read on saiga-12.com forum, that these Surfire mags dont feed the Russian steel cased ammo. Something about the floorplate being at the wrong angle or something for them to feed.

If you shoot any of the russian stuff, please report how it works out. Otherwise I'm going to hold out on them until they fix that problem or find the exspensive russian mags.

Mosh are you talking about the floorplate, or the mag feed ramp?

my bad, the mag feed ramp. I guess it isn't steep enough for the steel cased stuff and it causes them to jam.

I finally picked it up today. Not sure how long it will stay in this config.:shades:

Yeah, but your snakes are slow and solitary, because you can't use a semi auto or anything with a decent magazine capacity to shoot them.

Finally got the .410 out the other day. This gun is a friggin blast.

My '74 style brake showed up.. not too sure I like it.

may opt out for this Izhmash part instead.

Also, Surefire now has 15rd mags available.. just too many fun things to buy.

Just an update. Since I had thought about the whole conversion thing I decided not to. I did pick up a factory buttstock for it along with a choke.

I do need to customize the hand guard but I do like the cheek rest on the buttstock. the sight through the Kobra is good. I do need to extend it a little so I might as well add a custom pad to it.

I just hate the cost of .410 shells. The OO buck is $20+ a box. I do think I may invest in a loader for them. I think a hot load in #4 buck may be a good one. That plus 15 rd mags......

I've heard of people talking of making them into .444 marlin. Tony Rumore of tromix made one...

Is it what you're planning?

Took it out for a little test drive today. The choke does not choke as much as I would like but still able to nail clay pigeons at 25 yards with #6.

Noble sport ammo in #4 is junk. I ran some remmy in #6 and all was fine. I put in the mag with the #4 and even with the gas setting on 1 it ripped the rim of the cartridge just like it did at Falfest.

Before I buy a bunch I need to run an ammo test.
