Went to the Kenton Nationals in Kenton, Ohio yesterday. HUGE swap meet. Took us 10 hours to walk thru it.
Anyhow, in about the fourth row, I'm walking by a table and this plants me---

I start talking to the guy and after about 5 minutes of negotiation, this went into the bag---
Do you know what it is??
Markings--
627-3
Performance Center
357 mag 8x
I couldn't believe I found this at an open air shitkicker event--where every 3rd Remmy 870 ever made was there and up for sale.

Yes, it's a veeerrry loud .357 mag snubbie with two more holes than my equally loud Model 66 2 1/2"
Thinking that's an "L" frame? Nope, gotta be an "N", right?
Jerry Mikelik would love it.
Great find! Congrats!

All the longer 627s I've seen have a fluted cylinder, not sure why this one would be different.

It is a limited run of Ultimate Defensive Revolver--otherwise known as a Bloodwork gun--thus named by the movie with Clint Eastwood.

The big question is how much did it cost? These guns are nice and quite collectible but like anything else they are available....just add money!

I've never really bought in to N-frame Smiths as belly guns, or as being particularly concealable.
But, that IS a very nice piece.
Congrats and enjoy your little fire-breather.

Nice, but I would like it more with a 4-5" barrel!

They made them like that in the 4-5 and 6" IIRC. But this 2-5/8" is the hard one to find.
This is why I got so worked up over this--

I remember losing sleep over the fact that I could not afford one of those with a 6" tube for shooting bowling pins. Another of thos, "If I only knew then what I know now..."
Good snag Rick. I am green with envy, but happy for you.

Yeah, I see it now " Ultra Rare S & W for Sale "...
With that GB response I`d turn that in a HB...

I probably will turn it. The thought of getting a few house payments for 'free' so quickly is appealing--
I like the gun but it puts me a couple months closer to completely debt free without selling an EBR---
It is out on the way to S&W right now getting fitted with the second cylinder.
