Jen,
When we log in, we get a cookie droped in our computer. I don't have a problem with this.
What happens if we don't log out. When we leave the site, is the cookie deleted or do we stay logged in. I am always logged in when I come to the site and I don't usually log out.
Should we log out?

If you use a public computer or a computer at work I highly suggest that you log out after each session / day. Logging out removes the login session cookie so that no one else can post on the forums using your account.
If you only use your home computer, then it's safe to stay logged in unless you're worried about other family members etc, posting using your account. In that case, log out.
Once you are logged in on a specific computer, you are logged in on that computer until you log out on it. You can log in from as many computers as you want, the site doesn't keep track of where you're logged in from at all. You just need to remember that by not logging out you may be permitting unauthorized users to post to the forums using your account.
PS: I occasionally get emails from people asking me to Log them out so they can log in on another computer. This IS NOT neccesary and I can NOT remotely log your account off another computer, you must do that.
You CAN login from home and work etc at the same time. All the login does is to store some info ON THE COMPUTER YOU LOGIN FROM that let's you come back to the board from that computer and still be logged in.
