I Have STG 58 but i really like the L1A1 flash hider cuold anyone tell me the tread size of are they interchangible no one will give me a straight answer I don't know if it's illegal to change one for another so if anyone knows please tell me thank you

The L1A1 FH is NOT legal for use on any post-ban rifle.
The two do not exchange. The StG threads on and shoulders on the barrel. The L1A1 is secured by a locking slot, and clocks-up to TDC based on the thickness of a washer installed at the muzzle under the FH.
You can buy the DSA faux-Browning (US T-48 style) muzzle device. Dan @ VOW also makes a killer replacement that looks like the original L1A1/Belgian long FH.
