I was looking at odcmp.org website and didnt see any mention of it, but, is there a limit on how many M1 Garands one can purchase? I had heard somewhere along the line it was a 1 a year limit///anyone know?

Under the DCM, it was once 1, period...

Currently, under the CMP, I think that it's eight a year.

It might even be 12...

Personally, I haven't run into the upper limit, yet...:)

I spoke too soon (and without checking)...

I just checked the CMP website (FAQ) and it's currently 12 per year, regardless of grade...

I think the price was under $200 then, you had to wait nearly a year, but boy some of the rifles people would get were just gorgeous.

For clarities sake it is 12 Garands per year. There are no limits on other rifles unless posted. Of course there is not a whole lot left.

My paperwork for an HRA service grade went in today. There have been some really nice SG's come out lately.

I have never received a rifle of any flavor from CMP that was not nice. Some are far nicer than others. I have taken the CMP 12 step program many times and regretfully report negative results. Several years ago, I ordered a Danish rack grade without wood. Couple of parts from the Garand scrap box and a $10 stock, a real winner.
