If it's just happening at certain times of day it's likely that it's happening during peak load times (when a lot of people are here).

If it's happening all the time, then try going to MSDOS (Start -> Programs -> MSDOS or Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> MSDOS) and type in 'ping www.l1a1.com' (http://www.l1a1.com') and report the times you get here. Also try the command 'tracert www.l1a1.com' (http://www.l1a1.com') from the DOS prompt. The first will tell you total travel time the second will tell you how many other servers your request for a page has to go thru (hops).

It has been slower here too at times when not to many people are shown to be loged on.
Some times it is acting strange. Not the same as before the virus attack. Or so it seems

Wow. Talk about things that make you go "hmmmmmmmm."

Jen, check this out, from Kansas City:

ping www.l1a1.com (http://www.l1a1.com)
PING l1a1.com (66.78.50.251) from 63.48.1.161 : 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from 66.78.50.251: icmp_seq=0 ttl=241 time=219.409 msec
64 bytes from 66.78.50.251: icmp_seq=1 ttl=241 time=229.875 msec

(I Ctrl-C'ed here after about 15 seconds)

--- l1a1.com ping statistics ---
66 packets transmitted, 3 packets received, 95% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/mdev = 209.876/219.720/229.875/8.167 ms

Now, another host:

64 bytes from UNASSIGNED.SKYNETWEB.COM (208.231.11.193): icmp_seq=11 ttl=244 time=269.972 msec

(Ctrl-C after only 2 or 3 seconds)

--- www.gunsmithingonly.com (http://www.gunsmithingonly.com) ping statistics ---
12 packets transmitted, 12 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/mdev = 189.940/235.762/299.979/40.476 ms

 :(

No matter how many times I try, your site only returns the first few packets. I'll try again in a few hours. Maybe someone upstream is messed up...

B3, That is when I noticed the change. I log on in the morning before leaving for work (4:30 am) and the pages still load slow.
Seems to be getting back to normal today.

If you could, post a tracert for this site and whatever site you're using to compare it against.

Pings just tell trip time but not how many servers/routers the packet has to go to.

This is the ping results I get..C:\>ping www.l1a1.com (http://www.l1a1.com)

Pinging l1a1.com [66.78.50.251] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 66.78.50.251: bytes=32 time=63ms TTL=246
Reply from 66.78.50.251: bytes=32 time=63ms TTL=246
Reply from 66.78.50.251: bytes=32 time=47ms TTL=246
Reply from 66.78.50.251: bytes=32 time=47ms TTL=246

A Tracert for me shows a total of 10 hops at present.
