OT Help! What DSL service to use in GA? (moved to TECHNICAL SUPPORT)

I have had it with Forkin dial up !!!

At this moment I am on long distance web browsing (ouch)as local numbers are out!

Earthlink? Bell ugh South? Who ?

Check out DSLREPORTS.COM (http://www.dslreports.com). I think you fill find that depending where you are there is only one choice. That's my case in Acworth. Worse yet, they can only guarantee 128K because it's 7 miles to the central office AND it will be about $99 per month. Your situation might be different depending on location. Oh, one other thing... Once you plug in your zipcode and do the prequalification (which will tell you who can serve your area, the expected speed and prices) notice the "TYPE" column. Earthlink is really on BellSouth in my zipcode...
