any official directions out there or is this just a wing-it kind of sight in?
I'm thinking 25 yards out for the range target, does the sight preset to anything for starters as in all up/down?

I aint no expert but I'll try and share a Bit of info.. If I'm too far off it won't be long before I get corrected by someone more knowledgable..

They don't have 25 yards at the range I use so I sight in @50....

It is my undertanding that the POI at 50 Yds is very close the the POI @ 250 so the 50 Yd thing works for me just fine... Once dialed in, I think this would put your 100 Yd POI an inch or two High...

I leave the Rear at it's lowest setting for elevation adj. using the Ft sight post for desired elevation changes.

Windage is pretty easy on the FAL, just loosen the Screw on the side you want to push and make your adj. from the opposite side.. Then gently snug up that opposite screw..

BTW you will be best served with a Good FT sight adj. tool, rear can be changed W/A good Screwdriver..

HTH...
