Yeah, but your dollar back then is only worth about $0.33 now....

I bought a very nice one about 3 years ago for $375 from a gun shop.

I was out there recently and was exchanging small talk with the gunshop owner. He said that he rarely gets one in his shop anymore. (and it's a big shop which deals with antique and classic firearms.)

I can't say what one will cost,.. but it sounds like you're going to have to look hard for one,. and that means that you're going to pay some money for it.

I think it would be worth $300 to $400. Unless it's really pristine.
A really beat up one might drop to $250.
If you are not in that range, do some more looking. They are around.
You shouldn't have to pay all outdoors for a decent one.
Except if you are in to collecting exceptionally fine pieces and not planning to shoot it. Then you can probably justify paying "safe queen" prices.

Hope you're feeling proper remorse for stealing that! :D

All the ones I've fired have been great shooters.

Looks like a major coup! Congrats!

$350 is an excellent price. I paid just a bit more than that for my 17-2, but then again, it was shipped from the factory the day I was born...
