As much as I hate to report it I believe I have been ripped off, at least I have not heard from the seller in over a month... http://www.falfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=229091
The handgaurds M/O was sent, No handgaurds were ever shipped thatfalguy may have some medical problems I don't know, multiple pm's later no reply.
Mods he has e-mail turned off perhaps you may be able to help, shame a guy with so many positive reviews would hose me for a pair of 38 dollar handgaurds.
Lesson learned, If I get either my handgaurds or my money back I will delete negative feedback, I told him I wasn't in a hurry, but this is bullchit.

Well for what it's worth I got beat out of $50.00 by Casey Elliot some years ago when he just fell off the reservation and dissappeared. He "HAD" a sterling reputation as well.

And he has not come back here, nor apparently appeared ANYWHERE since. Somebody reported some five or six-odd years ago that he had been in a bad car crash at the same time he dropped off the Files. I don't know if that's true but if he had a major life-change like that it would explain some things.
There is only ONE guarantee, and that's a FTF with an immediate exchange of cash for goods. You can get "burned" from a long-established brick-n-mortar store that goes bankrupt just as fast as some dude on the internet. I once sent $300 to Hong Kong for a cell phone. Man I was sweating bullets until it finally arrived. Knowing the risk doesn't stop me from doing it again, but it sure as hell is a risk every time.

+1.
In my exerience gun "folks" seem to rip each other off more than those in other hobbies I'm interested in. Sad, but true.

Amazes me that someone would destroy their rep over a stinking 50 spot.

probably even more amazng is that we, knowing that it happens, continue to buy and sell over the internet........send money to people we dont know and more often than not will never meet.............a truly strange world we live in

You don't have to buy online, nobody's forcing you to. I choose to buy/sell stuff online because it's convienient and it's alot easier to find what I need with a quick search rather than burning up $$ in gas or time on the phone calling and searching.
I have been scalded but not burnt online. Overall though, I've had a great expierence and apparently pretty good luck. GREAT luck on the Files, never a problem in quite a few transactions.
"stuff" happens. Communication seems to be the best way to avoid having issues with a deal. If one side or the other has a failing in comms, it causes problems.

I have had great luck buying and selling through this and a couple of other sites. In fact it amazes me that it has all gone so well, it does say somethings about the folks that are out there.
People have trusted me with several hundred dollar transaction and I have done so with others, can't really complain.
