I have a wooded G1 kit built on a century arms receiver and it will chamber the first round from the magazine when you first insert it. It will fire that round and eject the spent casing but it will gum up on the following round. It appears that the bolt is not coming back far enough to strip the next round out of the magazine. I have the gas port closed all the way. Any ideas yall have would be appreciated.

1. Make sure the gas piston is able to move freely into the receiver (it is not at all bent). To do this, strip the rifle and remove the gas piston spring. Slide the piston into its place in the gas tube and slide it back through the gas tube nut into the receiver. It should not be impeded in any way.
2. Try a new gas piston (a tighter fit will increase the effectiveness of the gas).
3. Make sure the bolt and bolt carrier are able to move freely in the receiver. Ggiilliiee will be along shortly to tell you how to "slick up" the rails and have your FB/BC combo running faster.

Thanks for all the help. Got the FAL up and running right today. Had to do a little bit of filing here and there and had to take the recoil spring out of the buttstock and clean and lube it. Runs smooooooooth now. Thanks again.
