I just picked up an M14 magazine, still in the military VC! wrapper. The wrapper is marked, as shown below. My question is, is there any way to tell what manufacturer made the magazine from the markings shown? Also, what would a sealed mag like this be worth? As a side note, I also picked up 4 sealed 5 round packs of M64 7.62 NATO "Grenade Rifle" rounds. Been awhile since I saw any of those!
Thanks in advance for any info!

The mag is most likely an arsenal repack. Might be new might be refurbed.

They didn't care who made it and so they weren't marked as such. I got
a can of bolts that said they were Springfields and they turned out to
be refurbished H&Rs.

About two years ago there were people selling forged "arsenal" re-wraps. They had the faked, non-GI mags in them. (marked circle W mostly)

Hope yours is real. I would forward the photo to different on the M14 forum for a positive ID.

Well.....I did it. I opened the package. Now I kinda wish I hadn't....lol. The magazine was wrapped in a paper vapor wrap which was marked as being 1967. The mag itself is nicely parked, with the only markings I can find being OM. Looks to be an original, new GI mag. But of course I don't know my stuff on M14 items at all.

Go to "Differents" website and you'll be well educated,

Because until you see the "real" indicators, letters, count the coils on the mag spring, look how the spring hangs from the follower, welds on the lock tab, etc etc etc, you really don't know what you have until all go together to make the right match... Good luck cuz I know what's real in my batch and what is not.... Additionally ther are some inexpensive after mkt mags that DO work well... First ones that come to mind are some available from Widener..

goodluck
