I just joined the AUG club with a MSAR.

Who's got a good price on magazines?

I saw CDNN had some advertised.. Some on gun broker.. also Ratworx may have some in stock.. remember retail is only $26 or $29 dollars , I've seen them advertised for much more.

Good luck and congrats on the rifle

I bought a 20 and a 30 with the rifle. It comes with a 10.

Steyr mags are compatible, correct? I know that supposedly you can't use Steyr parts in a MSAR, but I am pretty sure the mags would fit.

Factory AUG mags will not work in an MSAR, however the MSAR mags will work in a factory AUG.

Thanks for the heads up. I knew some parts didn't interchange, but I wanted to be sure before spending money.

Rat Worx has them back in stock. I got 6 30's, and will get a few 42's later.

AUG mags will work fine in the MSAR but two things are necessary -
a little judicious filing on a couple reinforcement ribs on the AUG mag body and
replacing the anemic spring in the AUG mag.

Slow pointed out that the front of the mag didn't need the reinforcement ribs reduced since there is no interference when it is inserted in the magwell.

I have contact info for a guy with 30 and 42 round AUG mags for $30 each if you're interested.
