Looking to put a after market trigger on my Remington 700 VLS .308, I can't get the stock one where I want it. I mostly shoot bench with it. Out of the 3 or 4 triggers on the market does anyone have any suggestions ?

I put a Jard model 5 trigger from Brownells in my 700 and love it. I went from 5 pounds trigger pull to 11 ounces. I can actually hit something with it now....

I replaced the sloppy ass trigger on my Mauser with a Timney Sportsman and it is fantastico! Went from a very mushy 10 or so pounds to about 3 lbs with no creep, lag etc..cheapest way to improve your accuracy issues

I have been thinking ordering the Kepplinger (http://www.brownells.com/aspx/ns/store/ProductDetail.aspx?p=7667&title=SINGLE-SET%20TRIGGER) for my varmit rifle.

I have 2 Jewel triggers and they are fully adjustable. HVR comes with 2 other springs, that can be changed wthout disassembly of rifle.
They are the best IMHO

Shilen makes about 5 different Remy triggers from Bench rest to hunting models

Jewell's are also excellent triggers for precision work. There are a couple outfits that rework Remy triggers.

Have you tried adjusting yours?
