Right now people are meeting with a local city council in N.E. Pa about Friday rosting of friends and family of our second amendment. Go to site I'm sure many will reconize the name of this patriot. It's been on several radio shows and tv news locally with about 1/2 hr on this evenings legal segment.
Be sure to offer your support .

Well, after SCOTUS gives their ruling on the 2nd, it will finally be a civil RIGHT with all the protections that infers. I predict that if that action were to take place after the ruling, just one large civil suit would put an end to that silliness and gestapo tactics. PD's are pretty careful about their $$$.

the part time bitch cop that was the center of the shit storm appears to be a really bad apple. she is mid 20's and has been awarded 139K in a suit against the city for sexual harassment, etc. she must have a chip on her shoulder the size of mount rushmore. the local police chief is a typical politician and has endorsed his department's actions. his department has been sued so many times that thier deductable is 25K$.
the local news has given this issue a fairly unbiased reporting, and the council meeting was well attended and regarded as a victory, in general. especially the part in which the police chief admitted that nobody in his department knew that open carry is legal in Pa, despite the Pa Supreme Court ruling Commonwealth V Ortiz.
there will be a civil suit alleging violation of civil rights and official oppression. trouble is, only 1 of the group has grounds for suit, as far as i can tell, and his damage is small. should be worth about 20-50K$ to this guy for unlawful arrest and etc. he may be able to go after the officers as individuals under S1983.
Hope they nail her ass to the wall..I have had alot of experience with 'chicks in charge' and have found that they usually make lousy leaders, emotional, over-compensate, unfair and liars (to save their ass' when the screw up)
I had experience with 'chicks in charge' in the Air Force and it was a joke, a complete disaster--always out sick, men had to pull their weight and compensate for their retarded, selfish behavior--and when things would appear to be smoothing out then the bimbo's would get pregnant (they were normally single) and go out on 6 months 'maternity' leave-both before and after the little brat was born--that actually worked out well as then they were gone and no longer a burden, we would just do her job and be grateful she was absent
At Costco I saw chicks put in charge for no other reason than the gave good head--once a manager hired an 18 y/o girl out of a shoe store and made her a supervisor over 30-40 employees, all based on the fact that he thought she was 'cute'--ofcourse she didnt know ANYTHING about the job an had to be led around for over a year--that was justone instance, we had NUMEROUS 'women' that were in positions of authority that had no business being there
Now I see all these laughable movies with the inevitable 'chick in charge' and it makes me want to vomit..

John, most cities that have to pay more out in deductibles in a year than the chief's pay or get cancelled, usually replace the chief, not the mayor or the city council that chose them. :shades:
I read some of the posts...does Rich need help with any legal expenses to go afer these...maybe we could start a legal defense fund if needed. I'm very pro police...but it sounds as if there needs to be some arrests and civil suits here.
This will be nothing compared to if Nobama or Clinton get elected.

The folks who stand up to this sort of unconstitutional totalitarian oppresion had better have stiff spines and thick skins. The government will circle the wagons and marshall all resources to prove that they are right to thus abuse peaceable citizens. More power to 'em.
Billy Graham said, "When one man stands firm, the spines of others are often stiffened".
Free American men such as these are desperately needed in the USA today. Self serving tyrants must be held accountable and reminded of their station in decent society.
If nobody in the police dept knew that open carry is legal then why would they presume to know it is illegal. Seriously, this EXCUSE for abuse under color of law just doesn't cut it. If the entire police dept does not know the law or have a way to look it up, they should.... no, must all be replaced, beginning with the chief. Ignorance of the law is no excuse.
