I was at the Remington Society of America site trying to determine how old a model 48 shotgun I recently purchased is.
Their information is well organized and well presented, nevertheless I couldn't for the life of me decipher the production date.
BTW the barrel code (on the left) is a small upper case E, then a larger upper case B then the number 3. what it translated as made entirely no sense. OTOH, directly below that are 2 upper case A's which doesn't figure at all in their tables. any ideas? help! regards, elsaesser3
