Newb checking in with a value question

Hi all!

Just found the board about a week or so ago. I am looking at picking up an FN FAL from a local gunshop. They currently have one in on consignment for $1999.

From what I remember what was stamped on the side was FN FAL Belgium and then below that Steyr.

The selector only has two positions, safe and semi.

Fair price?

Assuming it is in decent condition, I think 2k is a good price on an FN factory gun.

Very fair price for a Belgian. Is it standard configuration? Para? Heavy barrel?

I believe it is the standard config. I know it is not the Para model. Doubting it had a heavy barrel, though not quite sure how to tell.
