inch/metric dust cover

Is there any reason you shouldn't use a metric dust cover on an inch pattern rifle? It seems to fit well enough. Just wondering.

No reason whatsoever. The other way around could be a problem however (inch tc on metric receiver) if the inch tc still has the tabs.
