I'm wondering, if I put a DSA pic. base on a STG58, (fixed stock), can I put a YHM folding A2 rear sight on it and have a chance of it working with say the #4 Belgian front sight? I have the rear sight and ordered the base. My current front sight is short. What do you think? anyone done it?

No I dont think you can as there will be a difference in sight planes between the Fal front sight posts and the rear YHM folding A2 rear sight,Also if you are talking about using the DSA SA58 FAL Picatinny Metric Gas Block or the SA58/FAL US Made Alloy Picatinny Metric Lower with the Picatinny rails made in to these you will have to use them together as a pair or you will end up with sight plane differences and that will not regulate together

Hmmm, is there an A2 sight available that would work anyone knows of? Thanks.

If only that would work. Unless I'm mistaken, that only fits para models. Thanks for your input.

actually it will fit any Fal lower receiver that your regular rear sight will fit

You can use flip up sights if you use both the scope rail cover and the rail handguards that puts the sights on the same plane.

My buddy has that setup on his para and I have to say it's uncomfortable. He is going to get the rail inserts/pads. We'll see how that goes.

yes That site works on regular style DSA's, I have one mounted on my Non-folding Tactical SA58 right now.
