Just to wrap up my pre-election M-1 re-hab project I took out my second rifle today, having received it back from being re-barrelled.

This one was done by Global Military Gunsmithing/Ken Kubin. I had this one done with a used Italian barrel that Ken had on hand. He initially had trouble getting it to headspace with the used barrel but was able to use another bolt to get it set up. Nice work.

Ran like a dream on my reloads and Greek ammo, the Greek being more accurate. Only able to zero at 25 yds. due to time but the Greek was all shots touching after getting zero'd with only a few clicks of elevation and windage.

I decided to get these rifles shooting properly and sent them in two different directions over a period of about three days. Kind of done on a whim, but I'm real happy I did it.

Supposed to be Beretta. I think it's got a 1955 date.

The Garand is one of the few rifles where the factory Greek and Danish ammo shoots better than my handloads. And I might have just found the best of them all, Danish loaded in 1903 stripper clips with a cupro nickel jacket. I shot my HRA Garand in a competition this weekend, and won it shooting this ammo. It was absolutely hammering.

That Dannish is good stuff .... sure wish I had bought more. Greek seems almost as good and is reloadable and noncorrosive!!! These are truely good times for '06 ammo.

I have about 2000 rounds of it. Wanna talk?
