I posted an "I`ll take it" 29mins after he posted an AR upper for sale
marketplace post (http://www.falfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=230246)
this was on Saturday night.

I was also interested in some of his other stuff, and began negotiating(Saturday night) for the other items to see if he would cut a better deal. He wasn`t willing to make an acceptable deal for the rest of the stuff, in my opinion, so I decided to just buy the upper I had committed to earlier. When I told him I was just going to buy the upper, he sent me the following email.... "the upper got sold earlier today!" This was at 8PM EST Sunday night.

Beware of this newbie. Evidently "I`ll take it" doesn`t mean squat to him

Unless I'm missing something, it seems like you were still in the midst of a negotiation outside of what was explicitly posted and in the meantime someone definitively closed the deal. Until two parties come to a definitive agreement (i.e., seller posts ad, prospective buyer tenders offer, seller accepts offer) the deal ain't done.

I've posted a decent amount of things for sale on various boards and on more than one occasion have had a person attempt to modify the deal after an "I'll take it" reply to a thread or otherwise have had it go nowhere. Posting a simple "I'll take it" publicly, but then trying to lump a bunch more stuff in at a discounted price (that the seller apparently wasn't interested in) seems to be sending that message, even if it wasn't your intent, to the point that I really wouldn't blame him if someone made a definitive offer to buy his goods under the exact terms he offered.

Given the information, as presented, I personally don't find much fault in the seller's actions here. Unless, of course, he acknowledged and accepted your offer with an "it's yours, send the money to XXX" or similar - perhaps the email thread you mentioned supports the argument more, however.

ER's claim to purchase the AR upper with his I'll take it is a done deal.

The negotiations to purchase additional items is a separate matter.

I've had buyers buy a base item then have additional purchases added on. I've had them send 3-4 checks for add ons before the final package deal was ever shipped!!

kinda strange that he and I emailed back and forth several times that night after I said I`d take it, and he never mentioned it had been sold until I backed out of buying all of his other junk s###. Musta pissed him off, huh?

I told him of the negative feedback I left here, and how I`d never seen anyone start with a -1 feedback rating

Looks like he posted it on one of the "AR" boards at 10:49pm,
with the "I'll take it" coming at 10:59.

It was posted here at 10:00Pm (22:00) with the "I'll take it"
coming at 10:29 (22:29)

Looks like it was spoken for as sold, even before it was
posted for sale on the other board. If these times hold true,
you had the other guy beaten on the "I'll take it" by about 30 min.

I don't know what happened during the offers for the other items, but it seems he sold it out from under you.
I'll never deal with him after this.

Just to keep the record straight it took the moron ER two days to get back to me finally tell me that he didn't want the rest of the stuff & he just wanted the upper & he still wasn't first in line or did I even agree to sell it to him or confirm that it was sold to him!!!

So please keep crying over something as stupid & pathetic as this because it's obvious that the people jumping on the wagon on this post don't know what the crap they're talking about & just plain simple have nothing else to bitch about!!!

Personally I don't care what the whiners or ER thinks!!!

BY the way I've baught & sold many items on the fal's & other gunboards & I've never had a problem with them or with me for the combined ten years he until this whining idiot came along, moderators if I'm out of line please ban me because if this is what this board is about or if this is the type of people that I have to deal with then I don't want to be part of it!!!!
