Do any of you guys have any knowledge of these Trijicon ACOGs? The one I'm interested in mounting on my SA58MCCM is the 4x32 .308 model (#TA01B):

:fal:

TA01B: 4x32 Trijicon ACOG with Red Crosshair Full Illumination (http://www.trijicon.com/user/parts/products1.cfm?PartID=140&back_row=4&categoryID=3)

I like the fact that no batteries are required. Also, the bullet drop compensation requires no twisting of dials-- is this good or bad?

I will also try searching for reviews on the internet...

Thanks.

I have one on my FAL.

Used the DSA mount and a LaRue QD mount.
It works great, but be aware that the ACOGs have short eye relief, and
therefore you must keep the stock into your shoulder, or it wil hit you.

They are not very forgiving.

I think you'd be happier with the TA11C or TA11E. They have longer eye relief than the TA01. I owned a TA01B for a while and got smacked in the glasses a few times; never happened with the TA11.
ACOG TA11E (http://www.trijicon.com/user/parts/products1.cfm?PartID=150&back_row=3&categoryID=3)

Also get the DSA ACOG mount to get the lowest possible mounting solution.

I like the BDC for quick target acquisition. You just have to shoot it a little to see where your shots hit for the different distances.

Here's my DSA Tac Carbine w/TA11E:
