I've been on here for a while, I'm very familiar with the FAL and other FN weapons. I finally broke down and got an AR, well sort of. I picked up a stripped receiver (stag arms for $126 out the door I feel like I did OK) I was hoping to avoid having to go through the hassle of creating my own dealer network for the AR like I did for the FAL. Can some one recommend a one stop for the AR? I'm aware of certain vendors/manufactures to avoid. I was wondering if there were any suppliers that really shine? I not looking to build anything too elaborate flat top M-4 w/ the miad grip. I appreciate any input.

Try ADCO Firearms. They sell mostly RRA items. Good reputation for quality and customer service. They treated me right on a small order that hit a glitch. I'd use them again.
AIM surplus also has lower parts kits and complet CMMG uppers on an "on and off" basis.
And there is always Stag Arms themselves.

Lots of choices for a kit here and the uppers come pre-assembled.
Don't know about the grip you want but it could be a choice.
Shipping is fairly quick and comes straight to your home or wherever you want it too.
