I've been shooting "Hirt" ammo for a while,
works great in my fal, realistic groups ect.
This past weekend it came to my attention
that it is a jacketed steel round. Will
there be any long term problems ie; accelerated barrel wear? Also what other
ammo is jacketed steel vs. lead? Thanks.

The Hirt is a copper plated soft-steel jacket. It will NOT wear your barrel any quicker than a full copper jacket.

I've noticed on Hirt ammo, that the hole in the flash pocket is smaller than other brands of ammo when I go to reload it. I have to drill it out a tad before reloading.
