Has anyone had any luck reloading the 308 FN-FAL FMJBT bullets from Wideners? At $68.00 per thousand it sure is a good deal and appeals to my thrifty nature. I hope they shoot o.k.

I have loaded and shot them in my L1A1 and a Remington Model 7 Scout rifle. They shoot as well as the similar Hornaday FMJ bullets I had been using, which is pretty good, but neither of the guns are precision pieces.

Good bullets for ball reloading. Like you mentioned, the price is right!

I've used 'em with good results also.

My load:

42 gr IMR4895
Win Primer
LC Brass
COL - Insert bullet to crimp line, usually 2.810
Crimp with Lee Factory Crimp Die

Hey Gary, I think you transposed the numbers on your AOL. Shouldn't it read 2.820?

I have shot 2K of them and they function pretty well. Some variation in weight, as mush as 2 grains, so I weigh them out in hundred lots and segregate them to like weights. I get a little better accuracy that way. My load:
43 gr AA2230C
LC brass
Rem 9 1/2 primer
crimp
chronographed @ 2650 - 2680
