Good news for the 5mm crowd. My Dad was the ranch manager on the YO Ranch many years ago and was given a few 5mm rifles after Remington held their annual hunt for gun writers at the ranch. We've always held off firing the damn things over the years as ammo had become absurdly expensive and relegated to collector fodder. I think we still have an original sealed case of Remington ammo from back then. The little FMJ round was good turkey medicine.

I just shot 30 rounds of the new stuff. It's really nice. At 50 yds I have a ragged hole in the center of a 1" black circle. Iron sights. Now to scope it and move out to 100yds.........I bet this stuff will do a number on squirrels and crows.

`twas announced at the SHOT show this year, but under the Aquilla banner instead of Centurion. I`m sure all the nice, relatively unfired Remy 591/592 rifles will now appreciate in value. I just sold a nice one on the board a few weeks ago. It`s nice to know nobody will have to run thru the $60 boxes of original Remington ammo anymore.......
