anybody had any experience at reloading?

Don't have any specifics, but it's a fun little round. I got an SAR2 a few months ago.

You can probably find everything you want to know over at www.ak-47.net (http://www.ak-47.net) in the general or Romanian forums.

AFAIK, the only 5.45 ammo available here(USA)is steel cased and foriegn manufactured (russian and some E. German.) There is currently no domesitic manufactured ammo, which is often raised as a consideration in purchasing a 5.45 chambered rifle.

Current pricing for 5.45 w/o the air bubble is $100/1000 rnds. At that price, reloading, if possible, would truely be a labor of love.

I chrono'd some of the 69gr Barnaul and I think it went 2400fps. I understand the 60gr is much faster.
Grouping? With an AK? HaHa! I think I kept 10 rounds on the paper at 100.
