Where does everyone buy their 308 ammo?

(mail order stores that is)

I am willing to buy in quantity, want non corrosive ammo, prefer boxer prime (not required though). FMJ is fine.

I was looking at different places offering S.African, English, Portugese, Malaysian, Etc. Surplus ammo.

What is everyones take on the ammo these days? I have not shot my M1A a lot lately, I have just been using my old ammo stores. When my new rifle comes I am going to need a to buy some.

Thanks,
Bill

Bought 3K of RG from Century over the past year when they had it on sale. Last time it was $129 per case shipped. All of it was of the 89 variety, some have said it shoots dirty but havent noticed it in my Fal or M1A. It is Berdan primed but I dont reload so not bothered by it.

I've shot other stuff, but always come back to Hirt. The Hirt, I've shot has alway's been accurate and clean. I've never had any problem's with it. It was made in Austria. It usually cost me about 20 bucks per case more that some of the other stuff I've used. Aim sells it packed in sealed cardboard boxes of 20 rnds. to a box, sealed in vinyl packs of 200 rnds. each. Give it a try you might like it...CC

I have been nothing but pleased with the service and pricing that I've gotten from AIM Surplus.

My personal favorites are the Portuguese FNM and the Austrian Hirtenberger. The Portuguese stuff is cheaper and berdan primed. I don't reload, so I shoot mostly that stuff. The Austrian ammo seems slightly more accurate.

They have wide variety of different ammo. Many .308 makes including the ones mentioned.

The prices seem ok? but they don't include shipping.

Ditto on what CC says. Hirt from AIM. Reloadable. RG is fine otherwise, if you don't need to salvage your brass.
