Anybody have any experience with the Indian .308 currently coming into country. I figure if it's as awful as everyone says it is, it will probably shoot flawlessly and accurately in my awful Ishy 2A1 that could'nt hit a flock of barns at 20 yards!

I bought some about six months ago and so far no problems with it. Its not as clean as the RG surplus but does go bang!

I bought some a while ago from Century and am still shooting it. It shoots well and I haven't had any problems with it. It is cleaner shooting than the Malaysian but not as pretty, in that many of the cases are tarnished and have blemishes. I have some Malaysian that I was shooting before I got the Indian, and I had to drop the front sight 5 clicks to get back to the same zero as the Malaysian from the Indian. I have heard that the Indian is mildly corrosive, I cannot confirm this. I shot a lot from my STG 58 and Izzy Congo prior to putting them up in storage for about 9 months after a normal cleaning. Neither has shown any signs of corrosion. I have about another 540 rounds of the Indian and will shoot it until it is gone. I will probably replace it with Radway or Malaysian, whichever is cheaper. But I would buy it again if it became available at a decent price.

I bought a case of Indain from Classic Arms back in the summer. It shoots good but it is corrosive. Clean your weapon when your done for the day and you can enjoy some cheap shooting.

Thanks guys for the feedback on the Indy .308, But now I was wondering if any of you got the stripper clips & bandoliers. Are the strippers a USGI type or similar or what. PhrogPhlyer OUT!
