Anyone else an owner of the "world's finest crafted service pistol"?
I bought my P210-6 NIB second hand on consignment back in 2002. Came with two mags, mag loader, test target, manual, and a fancy embroidered SIG patch. Ordered and received two more new mags from CDNN at $80 a pop plus shipping. I spent some (to me) serious money on this pistol (about $1850 including the extra mags) and I haven't regretted it for a single moment.
I first saw the P210 in the Frankfurt Rod & Gun Club when I was an 18 year old Army PFC way back in 1964. I had read up on the P210 and wished I could have bought the one at the club. But it was two months pay and that just was out of the question. I kept lusting for a 210 until I finally found the one described above. What the hell, it only took me 38 years to finally acquire the thing.
I take mine out to the range maybe three of four times a year and put a box of rounds through it. Most other shooters at the range see it and have never even heard of the legendary P210, let alone shot one. One older shooter did know what the 210 was and made me an offer in cash for it that would have earned me a tidy profit. But I'm taking this one to the grave with me. Unless the undertaker knows how much it is worth....
And so it goes.
