That's one of those rifles that you wish could talk. Wonder where that rifle was when the Nazis invaded Belguim? A lady I know married a GI and they are family friends. She was 16 at that time and has some stories to tell. For a lot of years people kept finding guns hidden in walls and cellars in Belguim.
Used to see ads for Model 1935 Mausers in 30-06. Most were new and unfired.
Looked just like the one in Dave's pics only shiney!

I have one of them. Looks like it's been around, but the bore is bright and strong. Some idiot, somewhere along the line, scribed "Cal. 30-06" into the stock below the bolt handle.:mad:
Don't mind the USGI sling. It was on the rifle when I got it, so I kept it there. It kind of fits.

Ok, I took these pictures when I inherited the gun. It has since been oiled(metal and wood). I have decided to do nothing else to the rifle. No refinishing. I like the fact that this rifle showes that it has been ther and done that.
