I'm not familiar with this US marked nylon knife sheath, does anyone know anything about it?

Maybe check a bayonet collectors book?

Thanks buddiiee,
I don't recall seeing one like it either, although in Silvey & Boyds book they show (#124) a nylon web sheath for an early sixties Milpar M7 bayonet style knife. It looks crude though with no metal parts or retaining straps. No mention of it in MH Cole's Book IV.
I used to have Jensens Bayonet book but can't find it anywhere, that why I ask.

Looks 1980s to me. Material and style leed me to this conclusion. Trial model maybe ? Civvie product perhaps ?

It almost look's identical to some of the early Eagle made sheaths I have.
I have a few different styles, some with hangers, some with belt loop's, etc, etc.
But they were all made in the same way, from different width's of nylon webbing, folded over and then sewn all together.
Only thing is none of mine have the US stenciled on them.
Not that that means a whole lot, theirs ton's of after market and repro gear out there that's marked US.
Cheers, YV

I would hazard a guess, its custom made. Nice stitching, and very utilitarian. And quiet.I picked up some webbing that they make pistol belts from, and would like to find a guy with a heavy enough sewing machine to whip up a couple sheathes.

Looks like it might be paratrooper equipment.
Probably to fit onto a shoulder strap/rig of some sort.
Needless to say it is of Army origin.

Thinking about this today,I think the EK pig sticker came with a sheath very similar to this.
