Mine is a Doublestar that looks new, only problem was I had to re-index (smack) the front sight. I'll see if I can get pics later.

What do you mean by re-index the front site.

I see. I purchased two M4's, a friend got one, and I got the other. I haven't shot the one I have, but my friend shot his. The impact of the bullet is hitting higher than his POA at 75-100yrds. His rear site is all the way up, and he hasn't adjusted the front site yet. Also, I haven't been with him to see if he's doing something wrong.
jshema,
I'm working on PICs, but I'm having camera problems at the present.
Give me a little bit.

Here you go, the BB rifle is on the top. Pics aren't that great, as I had to use my sons camera.

I can't really say, as I haven't used it. It came with the Stag Arms lefty, but I put a scope on it. So, I just put Carry handle on the BB rifle since it came nakked.
I'll probably shoot on Friday, to see if I have any issues.

He needs to put that rear back down and adjust the front. it should be set at POA POI at 25 meters, with the rear at "z" then moved to 8/3 or 6/3 depending on the sight, with only the front being adjusted. If you want to make it SIMPLE and good for just regular shooting, put it at the 8/3 or 6/3 and adjust the front for POA/POI at 25 meters. Will work fine for anything you can see after that usng the appropriate hold overs/unders. Raising that rear will raise his POI. need to raise the front.

M4 rear is slightly different. I can get that if you need it.

Thanks for the input, and link Panzer, I'll give this a shot. I didn't know rear site was different on an M4. Does it sit lower/higher?, do you have any pictures of the differences?, I'd be interesented seeing a comparison.
Sorry jshema for hijacking your thread.
Thanks

Yea sorry jshema.
I have a cmmg on order and I'll post a pic when I get it.
I was just wondering about a good set of rear irons for the M4 that I ordered.

Its just the calibrated wheel is different. Some commercial carry handles use standard A2 rear sight assemblies, so you may see the 8/2. I will search for something showing the differences.

Sorry for the blurry second pic but you can see the weird off color of the upper in it. Not sure what kind of finish it is but it looks like magic marker in the sun, kind of purplely. DPMS lower and only a slight little scratch on the front sight. Very nice for the price.

How do they shoot. I bought a CMMG 20" upper about 1.5 years ago and it is the worst shooting out of all of my ARs. The best I can get out of it is 4" at 100m. Hope you all have better luck.

Mine shoots fine, no problems zeroing. Hits at the POA @ 75 yrds. I could tighten the group up with a scope.

I have three ARs from CMMG.
My first is your basic M4 clone, but I opted for the solid stock. I call her "Sparky" cuz she sparks from the chamber at night when she shoots. We get 1" groups with her at 100 yards.
My second is a bull barrel we call "Bullvye". He gets 1/2" groups at 100 yards.
My third, "Sha'ri", hasn't been tested yet. Pictures of her are below. I just got her this past weekend. She has the most interesting front site I've ever seen. It's part of why I got her. :)
