Anyone here know of a good source for subsonic 308 and 223? I shoot on a buddy's land, and although it is over 40 acres and legal, his neighbors bitch when we fire off our rifles. I have a reloading setup, so reloading data would be much appreciated also. Thanks

You might want to check your reloading tables to see if it has any loads that keeps the muzzle velocity below about 1100fps.
Around 1100fps is the speed of sound at sea-level.
But remember, even if you keep the load below 1100fps, your rifle will still let out a loud "bang" when fired, you just won't get the "crack" of the bullet breaking the sound barrier.

Black Hills sells (unadvertised on site) a subsonic. I have fired it in a back yard out of a SWR can. Pretty amazing. We got the 'thump' of the expelled gas actually striking the ground at which we pointed the rifle.
Joe Gaddini @ SWR can couch for it.

Cole Distributing has 62 gr. Israeli .223 for suppressed rifles. I don't have any other data.

I read years ago in the Machine Gun News about making subsonic .308 loads. They filled the empty space in the cartridge with shredded toilet paper. :D

I have loaded many rounds of .22 long rifle powered .223's using Unique Powder. This particular powder can be used for just about everything from a damn good pistol load to reduced full sized caliber loads.
I got the load data from a magazine 2 decades ago and have sinced moved a couple of times, ie, I lost the data. Was using a Mini 14 @ the time and shots sounded like a .22. It would NOT cycle the action though.
If Anyone still has this Unique data, please share it with us. :)

Don't do it w/out getting data.I heard of case ruptures w/ light loads.
A-Zone ammo sells it. Or,
Go to sierra.com they have actual reloaders manning 800 phone line during the day.
I too have lost all data related to this.
If your interested Supressors are legal in most states. Or,
Try J.D. Jones' Whisper calibres. The .300
is awesome.You don't even need hearing protection w/out a supresor("'Can" for short)

Use 13 grains of Blue Dot for the 223. It should fill the case most of the way. Never used it myself, but lots of guys on the GOGO Varmint board use it for low noise level varminting. Velocity should still be around 2500 feet/sec, so nothing to sneer at.

What about using polyester pillow stuffing to fill the cases. It expands and holds the powder against the primer. I think I read about this for making cowboy action loads.
A friend tried it for target .45ACP loads and said it worked great, very consistant and accurate loads.
