I will be needing headspace work done in a couple of weeks. Anybody reading this closeby in Western PA? Interested?

Thanks!

New Guy,
Monday or Tuesday give Dan Tobin a call. His phone is 724-727-2648. He told me once that he has a gunsmith in the Pittsburgh area that does FAL work. Dan owns Dans Sporting Goods in New Kensington, Pa. Tell him Don Iman gave you his name.
BTW, I'm up the road from you in Brookville Pa.

Holy cow, I work in New Ken!!

I didn't know there was a sporting goods store there, just TNT guns in Tarentum and Jolar Armory in downtown New Ken.

One thing I'd like to do is watch someone do this. I'm going to order the video and tools, but I want a gunsmith to do the first one in front of me if possible.

Thanks for the help Timkel and Don.

Newguy,
Dan's place isn't actually in New Ken.....It's out on route 380 not too far off rt66. give Dan a jingle, he's a good guy to do business with. He tells me he's real close to having some FAL kits, too. http://www.fnfal.com/forums/cool.gif

Don,

Thanks for all your help. I go 380 every day to work - this will work out great!

Could you or somebody give me a link to a website where I could see the breakdown on an FAL? My kits will be coming next week and I want to make sure they're not missing any small parts. Oh yeah forgot to mention I ordered one for the brother in law too http://www.fnfal.com/forums/smile.gif

Thanks again,
Craig

Hey New.......Give Dan a call and get directions from him. He's back off the road a bit and kinda tough to find if you don't know where he is. Also for a break down on fal's check out www.gunthings.com. (http://www.gunthings.com.) They have some good brekdowns. Also I think there might be one out front on this board.

Thanks to everyone who posted some help.

Don, looks like Dan should be able to help me out big time!! Turns out he's right along the road where I go home but has no sign. I've been driving by twice a day for 2 years now hahahaha

He and I are going to try someone new in the area for headspace work. We will let everyone know the results.
