I have heard that Izzy's have a forward assist. Is there away to get a forward assist on a FAL receiver?

Thank you, I've always thought that the stiff charging handle, unlike early M-16's with the wire pull back handle, could be called a forward assist. Fred of the famous M-14 rifle stocks says "forward assist on the FAL" and though I respect much he says and does, I disagree with that. My question is "Why a forward assist?" If a round wasn't chambering wouldn't you want to get rid of it and get an in spec round in the chamber, or am I missing something? thanks for any help or info. Kyle

Occasionally my rifle will not fully chamber a round out of the magazine when dropping the bolt from the bolt hold open device. Nothing wrong with the ammo, just sluggish loading. I think I need to massage the feed lips of the receiver, and maybe need a new spring. A fwd assist would be handy, but I don't like the big fat Izzy knob.

So how can I put one of these on my FAL?
Are they readily available. I have a STG58.
