I am building an M-4 look-a-like. Has anyone got any suggestions as to a good optical sight priced under $250?
Second, does the front sight interfere with the use of optical sights?
Any suggestion would be appreciated.

I removed my front sight (just punch out the two pins and slide sight off). Installed a flip up front sight/gas block from Brownells ( they have several that are installed with allen screws). I have flip up rear sight by ARMS. I mounted a small red dot by Leatherwood. Very happy with this setup. Hated seeing that front sight in my sight picture.

You can sometimes find used M-68 CCO's on eBay.

EOTECH makes a version of their site for Bushnell. Doesn't have the shield nor does it do NVG settings.
I have 3 I use on my Bushmaster and several FALs.
I didn't pay more then $200 for any.
Works well for what I do.
