M-14 strippers won't work so don't bother.
Serria Supplies, Durango, Colorado has FAL stripper clips, .25 ea. He has some kind of package deal where you can get a guide and 20 clips for $20.00,. (something like that, don't quote me!) Also I would post the phone number but I am on the road and I left his catalog at home. He does not have a web page. If worse comes to worse you can call directory asst. (Durango, Co.) (719) area code if my memory serves me correctly.
Good luck, .

I've used US M14 clips, Canadian, British & Australian Clips in the metric charger with no problems, a lot of headaches come down to operator handling, as stripping clips is an acquired technique. After saying that care should alway be taken when your stripping the last 5 rnd clip, as the last couple of rounds can be tricky.
I have also fitted the Inch chargers to metric magazine and stripped clips without any problems. You can convert a metric charger for use on the 'inch' mags by widening the front slot so it will pass over the bigger inch lug. Again with no problems stripping the clips. You have to remember that US, UK, CAN, AUST etc clips & ammo ARE made to NATO standards and are designed to be interchanged between countries.

I hope you enjoy the pics :) Sorry about the size of the 3rd one, if I reduced the size you wouldn't see the detail of the markings

Kevin is right, M14 stripper clips work fine. Ive got the Aussie plastic coated charger, works fine on metric Fal mags using M14 stripper clips.

I have a fair amount of experience with the Metric chargers, Bill, (The guy from Serria) Mark came up with his phone number, (thanks Mark) anyway, all I can say is I couldn't get M14 strippers to work with my metric charger, (maybe I lack the "Technique" NZ/collector speaks of, at any rate my FAL strippers work like a charm. (no "Technique" needed)
Good luck

I've used M-14 strippers in my metric charger for years and had no problems. In fact I have some stripper clips that are made in China. The Ammo was made to look like British 7.62x51mm right down to the head stamp marking. The only thing the Chinese did wrong was to make it copper washed like their 7.62x39 ammo.I've read that they used this ammo to supply underground groups. They wanted ammo that couldn't be traced back to them. But the British didn't copper wash their ammo so you could tell that it was fake.It came on 5rd stripper clips in sealed "spam cans" of I think 300 rds.I think I still have 900 rds in tins saved up in my ammo safe.Anyway I have used USA,FN,UK,CHINA,made stripper clips in my metric stripper clip guide to load metric mags.I use thesame strippers to load my M1A1 mags with a M-14 stripper clip guide and the guide built into the gun.In fact I have alot of my ammo loaded on these stripper clips all mixed toughter.Same ammo but different clips in the same ammo can.Never aproblem just reach in grab a clip strip it into the mag and shoot.

I use inch chargers on all the mags. Mainly because the one will fit them all. I do have some metrics, but that is just to have correct parts for the collection guns.
M-14 clips work fine in both types, but, are a little snug in the metrics. I bought a supply of stripper clips at a gun show last year (1000 for $25 cdn), it was a mix of mostly Cdn and American. All work fine. I too have used the Chinese that came with some Norinco ammo I had given me, they worked to in the inch but did not really want to fit the metrics I have.
So, for shooting fun, use the inch and feed it any clips you like. If you have a metric gun then get a metric charger for collection stand point only.

Sorry if it seemed I'd flamed you I wasn't trying to. Out of Interest what (if any) are the markings on your Metric charger and M14 clips?, obviously there is a problem with the charger, I'm just wondering if it's non FN made one? or if a certain type of M14 clip is 'oversized'? Maybe we can ID the problem?
To everyone reading this thread;
What are the markings on your clips? I've been collecting and researching different 7.62 x 51 mm clips, trying to ID who the makers are, which country they belong to etc. I would really appreciate your help http://www.fnfal.com/forums/smile.gif
If the clip doesn’t have a stamping on the back they can sometimes be under the spring.
Could you email me if you are able to help me out.
Some examples for you are in the pic above although I am not 100% sure about the clip marked: A is this a US made M14 clip?, what about the: D.S.1967 one? anybody out there able to help me?

What markings are on your charger guide? If you closely examine and compare your guide to the top one in my pic what (if any) are the differences?
M14, L1A1, FAL clips should work in the US, AUST, CAN, UK, FN made chargers... I'm not sure which other countries can be included in this list...... that's what I'm trying to work out http://www.fnfal.com/forums/smile.gif

No offense taken Kevin! I did try about five M 14 strippers I bought at a gun show yast year, had kind of a rough time with them, and gave up. I called Bill at Serria Supplies to get some FAL strippers, he was the one to tell me M14s won't work, since I'd had a bit of a rough time with them too, I took him at his word. I ordered a bunch from him and they worked like a charm.
I'm glad M14 strippers work too!
As always, thanks for the great pictures Kevin!

NZ:
My mag charger has no marking what so ever that I can find.It has a dark grey park. finish and looks like the first one in your picture execpt for a raised line on ethier side of the bottom of the loader. The reason I asked is I bought 100 stripper clips(was haveing a hard time finding any) and would like to find one that works with the clips I have.

Just to get my two cents in. I have used german 8mm stripper clips into a metric loader...A ok. There are loads of them on the surplus market. They come in bandoleer's of 70 rounds in five round clips for about 5.00. You get 14 clips and if you have a friend who owns an old mauser you both can shoot up the range.
The 8mm and a whole lot of other ctgs share the same case head diameter.
