How well do you know your body covers and or mounts for the FAL/L1A1?
Post your answers on this thread........ no prize except for the wealth of knowledge you will gain :)
The rules:
1. You must correctly Identify all 12 Body Covers/Mounts with their correct name! not just a generic title!
2. All covers shown are official military ones! I'm not trying to pull the wool over your eyes with some of them.
3. You must state the Country of Origin & the Covers correct designation.
4. Be warned that some covers aren’t what they seem at first, so look once, look twice then type your answer
5. please reframe from calling me names, unless it's in a personal email to me
6. My answers are final. No flaming will be entered into.
Enjoy this little puzzle :)

Man, I love this place, and it's people like Kevin that are the reason why. Kevin, if you ever make it back over here and wind up in Atlanta, dinner and drinks are on me.
That said, I have no *clue* what all this stuff is (specifically), other than #11 is a stripper clip top cover, likely Canadian (?), and no idea what the official name/designation would be.
Can't wait to see the results. This will be one of those pages I save off to the hard drive.

Rayman,
That mount in your pic is Israeli. I had one and finally peddled it to a bud with an Indian Fal. I had to mill it to get rings on it.

I believe it's Oz, or at least it's very similar to some of the SLRs with AN/PVS-1s that the ATF warrant officers ran around with around Phuoc Tuy. They were usually painted.

12. British: SUIT mount, what model of mount?
Don't know, but it's identical [except for the dustcover, of course] for the SUIT setup that came on my L42A1 Enfield. I believe the origin of mine is from British troops serving in the Oman and/or Aden in the 1960s period.
