if you are going to reinstall on same barrel, make an index mark for alignment. Drive out cross pin. Take a piece of angle iron (assuming you don't have a press) and put it between the gas tube and barrel. Pound it off. Do not hit the gas block anywhere else. Reinstall the opposite way. If putting on a different barrel, the holes may not align as the crossopin was drilled after assembly. A poorly fitting one can be soldered in place. Gas posrts can be drilled with the block in place. If putting on a different barrel, drop a pin gauge - maybe a .095" - through the block into the barrel gas port to insure alignment.
